Eric Reis serves as an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law, teaching Wills, Trusts, and Estates; Income Tax; Taxation of Business Entities; and Family Law. He holds dual Board Certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Tax Law and Estate Planning & Probate Law.
His academic credentials include a bachelor's degree with honors from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review, Chair of the Legal Research Board, and inducted into the Order of the Coif.
Professor Reis specializes in Tax Law, Estate and Trust Law, Family Law, and Business Succession Planning. His research integrates practical experience from representing high-net-worth clients in complex tax and estate matters, with legislative contributions through the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law section.
His professional recognitions include:
