Eric Kool

Eric Kool is the George A. and Hilda M. Daubert Professor of Chemistry at Stanford University, specializing in chemical biology and nucleic acids research. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University in 1988 and completed postdoctoral work in nucleic acids chemistry at Caltech.

• Research Focus: Chemical biology of DNA/RNA, DNA repair pathways in cancer, fluorescent molecular probes, RNA structure mapping, and biomedical applications.
