Eric Conners serves as an Engineering & Science Post-doctoral Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic, Washington University in St. Louis, leveraging 10+ years of life sciences experience to provide technical guidance on environmental cases and supervise undergraduate student consultants.

Eric's research spans Microbiology, Environmental Science, Science Communication, and Biotechnology. His doctoral work investigated bacteria that "eat" electricity to produce bioplastic, and he has conducted diverse research on salamander biomechanics, invasive aquatic species distribution, and gut microbiome-health relationships in premature infants. He integrates laboratory science with real-world applications in environmental and healthcare contexts.
