Dr. Erdal YAVUZ is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at Adiyaman University Faculty of Medicine, where he has been employed since 2020. His academic career began with medical education at Kafkas University Faculty of Medicine (2003-2009), followed by emergency medicine specialization at Gaziantep University Department of Emergency Medicine (2011-2015).
Dr. Yavuz's research spans multiple areas within emergency medicine, with particular expertise in carbon monoxide poisoning, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, medical toxicology, and emergency department management. His work frequently examines the intersection of environmental factors (like lunar cycles and seasons) with emergency department presentations, providing valuable insights into patient flow patterns and resource allocation. He has also made significant contributions to understanding workplace violence against emergency physicians and evaluating diagnostic approaches in emergency settings.
