He holds a Master of Science in Health Services Research from Stanford (2009).
His research focuses on global health, health policy, and environmental impacts on health, particularly in resource-poor settings. Current projects address pollution, natural disasters, and the health consequences of armed conflict, especially on women and children.
Recent publications in Nature, Science Advances, and The Lancet highlight his work on disaster health impacts, policy effectiveness, and climate change. His research aims to inform evidence-based health policies and reduce global health disparities.
Bendavid leads Stanford courses on outcomes analysis, causal inference, and health policy. He supervises doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, advising on studies spanning global health equity, environmental health, and pandemic response. His team collaborates on initiatives such as vaccine messaging strategies and evaluates health system resilience in crises.
