Eoin O'Malley is an Associate Professor in Political Science at the School of Law and Government, Dublin City University. He teaches politics and public policy, with a primary focus on Irish politics and governance structures. His institutional affiliation places him within DCU's Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, where he contributes to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in political science.
Dr. O'Malley's research interests center on Irish politics, with particular emphasis on the position of the Taoiseach (prime minister) and cabinet government in Ireland. He also conducts significant work on the Irish party system, media coverage of Irish elections, and public policy formation. His expertise extends to prime ministerial power in parliamentary democracies, political elites, and campaign effects of leadership.
