Ensieh Fooladi is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Monash University, with roles in teaching and research. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from Monash University (2014), focusing on antidepressant-associated sexual dysfunction in midlife women. Her research interests include women’s health, midwifery, pregnancy/postpartum care, and evidence-based healthcare.
Teaching Commitments include the course GHS5841: Research and Evidence for Practice. She actively supervises PhD, Master’s, and Honours students. Professional roles include membership on the Monash University Human Research Committee (MUHREC) and leading the Masters by Research Stream.
Research Projects include mixed-methods studies on nursing/midwifery student performance, palliative care for aged care residents, and curriculum innovation. Notable outputs address LGBTQIA+ healthcare education, shared decision-making in maternity care, and refugee women’s health.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to health equity and gender equality. Awards include the 2021/2023 MNM Research Development Grant. She has led multiple studies, reviewed journals like Climacteric, and contributed to over 40 peer-reviewed publications.
