Anne Tremayne is a Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Monash University, where she currently serves as the Course Convenor for the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery program. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Education and has extensive experience as a clinical educator and midwifery graduate coordinator in Melbourne’s metropolitan healthcare sector. Her work focuses on improving patient outcomes through interprofessional teamwork and simulation-based education.
Research Interests:
Anne’s expertise spans midwifery education, interprofessional collaboration, and simulation training. She investigates how clinical education and teamwork can enhance patient safety, particularly in obstetric emergencies like postpartum hemorrhage. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education and good health.

- Evaluating nursing and midwifery students’ clinical performance (2021–2025)
- Interprofessional management of postpartum hemorrhage simulations (2017–2018)
- Students’ perceptions of death and dying during clinical placements (2019–2021)
Publications reflect her focus on maternal health education, including a review of massage therapy for pregnancy-related anxiety and studies on simulation-based learning outcomes.
