Enno Lohmeyer is a Full-Time Lecturer of German at Case Western Reserve University's Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. He joined the department in 2002 after teaching at the University of Kansas and various colleges in Georgia.

His research focuses on 19th- and early 20th-century German and Austrian prose, particularly examining social and gender studies perspectives. Additional specializations include travel literature and environmental themes in literary works.
The article Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach als Sozialreformerin (2002) highlights his interest in social reform narratives, while his current project on Ferdinand von Saar's novellas explores guilt as a mechanism of social oppression.
