Emmanuelle Charpentier

Emmanuelle Charpentier is a renowned French microbiologist, geneticist, and biochemist currently serving as Scientific and Managing Director of the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens (MPUSP) in Berlin, Germany. She is celebrated for her groundbreaking discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technology, which revolutionized life sciences, biotechnology, and medicine.
