Dr. Emmanuelle Belanger is an Associate Professor at Brown University’s School of Public Health, affiliated with the Center for Gerontology and Healthcare Research. She holds a Ph.D. from McGill University and a postdoctoral fellowship in social epidemiology from the University of Montreal. Her work focuses on end-of-life care, symptom management in older adults, and decision-making processes in palliative care using mixed methods. Notable research includes studies on amyloid PET scan impacts, hospice utilization patterns, and policy analysis of assisted living regulations.
Her research integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches to address gaps in geriatric care, particularly in dementia diagnosis, caregiver burden, and healthcare policy. Collaborations with institutions like the University of Montreal and the International Mobility in Aging Study (IMIAS) have expanded her global perspective on aging challenges.
