Emmanuel Lazega is a University Professor at the Center for the Sociology of Organizations (CSO), affiliated with Sciences Po. His work focuses on neostructural sociology, integrating organizational analysis and social network analysis to study collective action across intra- and inter-organizational levels. He investigates phenomena like relational infrastructures, status dynamics, and public-private institutional shifts.
Research Themes: He explores meso-level social processes (solidarities, social control, institutionalization) in markets (legal, financial, academic), professional networks (lawyers, judges, researchers), and transnational institutions like the European Unified Patent Court. His framework addresses multilevel network dynamics and joint regulation through interdisciplinary collaborations in network statistics.
