Emmanuel GUILLON

Emmanuel GUILLON is a Full Professor at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, affiliated with the Institute of Molecular Chemistry (ICMR UMR CNRS 7312) within the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences. He leads the Coordination Chemistry Group (12 faculty and 3 technical staff) and the Environmental Chemistry team (7 faculty and 2 technical staff). His research focuses on pollutant transfer mechanisms, remediation strategies, and multi-scale surface phenomena, with expertise in environmental chemistry, metal trace element analysis (ICP-OES, AAS), and organic pollutant detection (HPLC, LC-MS/MS).

• Roles: Head of International Relations at Reims Engineer School (ESIReims) since 2006
• Leadership: Elected member of the Scientific Council (since 2012) and Doctorate School Council (2009-2013)
• International Engagement: Vice-President of the SOLEIL Users' Committee (2013-2017), EU FP7 ROUTES project partner

Research emphasizes understanding pollutant behavior in soils, sediments, and sewage sludge, with key projects including CPER AQUAL (2007-2013), FP7 ROUTES (2011-2014), and TrEcoPolEm (2013-2016). Recent work explores aging effects on metal retention, pesticide adsorption, and emerging pollutants’ environmental impact.
