Dr. Emma Wallace is a Lecturer in the Discipline of Speech Pathology at the University of Sydney's School of Health Sciences. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health, focusing on swallowing disorders (dysphagia), cough physiology, and obstructive sleep apnea. Her work integrates clinical practice with advanced research in upper airway mechanisms and pediatric feeding disorders.
Research interests include dysphagia rehabilitation, cough reflex modulation, and interprofessional care for respiratory-speech disorders. She leads projects on telerehabilitation for dysphagia, airway clearance mechanisms, and normal infant feeding development. Her research has been supported by grants from institutions like Flinders University and the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation.
