Dr. Emma Percy is a Senior Lecturer in Feminist Theology and Ministry Studies at the University of Aberdeen, appointed in January 2023. She holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham, supervised by Prof. Karen Kilby, and has extensive academic and pastoral experience. Her research focuses on feminist theology, pastoral care, reproductive theology, and spiritual resilience. She has authored books such as "Mothering as a Metaphor for Ministry" (2014) and "What Clergy do especially when it looks like nothing" (2014), and co-edited "The Study of Ministry" (2019). Percy is an advocate for gender justice in the Church, having served as Chair of WATCH (www.womenandthechurch.org). She previously held roles at Oxford University, Trinity College Oxford, and Virginia Theological Seminary. Her current work explores the theology of the female reproductive body and fortitude in ministry.
