Emma Newlands is a Senior Lecturer in History at the University of Strathclyde, specializing in modern British history with a focus on military health, medicine, and military culture. Her research explores bodily regimes in military training, medical experiments on soldiers, and the lived experiences of Royal Army Medical Corps personnel during WWII. She coordinates the CSHHH 'Journeys Through Health History' project, integrating medical history into Scottish education.
