Troy Rule

Troy Rule is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Humanities, The University of Western Australia. His research focuses on military history, particularly the intersection of military culture and individual experiences during wartime.

Research Interests: Troy's work centers on topics such as the Second World War, military institutions, and the sociocultural dynamics of armed forces. His research fingerprint includes significant contributions to understanding the experiences of citizen-soldiers in the Australian and U.S. armies during WWII.

Recent Research Output: Troy completed his doctoral thesis in 2020, which examines how six citizen-soldiers navigated military culture in the Second Australian Imperial Force and the U.S. Army during WWII, focusing on themes of identity, agency, and wartime social structures.
