Professor Emma Mayhew is the interim Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and a Professor of Pedagogy in Politics and International Relations at the University of Surrey. She serves as Associate Dean (Education) within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Previously, she led the multi-award-winning Electronic Management of Assessment Programme at the University of Reading, focusing on end-to-end online assessment systems and analytics dashboards.
Her research interests center on pedagogical innovation in politics and international relations education, with a focus on technology-enhanced assessment and educational analytics. She has contributed to national initiatives in higher education, including recognition at the National Teaching Fellowship Awards.
