Dr. Emma Luke is a Lecturer in Industrial Design at RMIT University's School of Design, located at City Campus, Australia. Her research focuses on Design Practice and Management, exploring interdisciplinary topics such as cultural innovation, mental health applications of design, and societal perceptions of death and gender norms. She is actively involved in supervising research projects, including studies on Saudi craft traditions, anxiety disorder interventions through design, and rethinking gender biases in design practices. Dr. Luke’s work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications, emphasizing ethical and culturally responsive design solutions.
Her recent projects include investigations into the future of Saudi crafts, the impact of sensory feedback on anxiety, and 'Design and the Default Male,' challenging gender assumptions in design processes.
