Dr. Emma Kittle is a Fixed Term Teacher in the Department of Literature, Film and Theatre Studies at the University of Essex. She coordinates the Essex Book Festival and founded WriteNight, Colchester's community writing initiative. Her academic qualifications include an MA in Creative Writing from Essex, Reading Recovery Teacher certification from UCL, and ongoing PhD research in Creative Writing.
Research interests focus on creative writing pedagogy, literacy development, and community-based literary engagement. She specializes in:
