Emma Kaufman is a Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. Her research focuses on Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Procedure, and Immigration Law. She holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a doctorate from the University of Oxford as a Marshall Scholar. Her scholarship explores criminal jurisdiction, prison law, and the intersection of punishment and immigration enforcement. Kaufman has published in leading journals like the Harvard Law Review and Yale Law Journal, and authored the book *Punish and Expel* (Oxford UP). She teaches courses on criminal procedure, constitutional theory, and administrative law.
Education: Columbia College (summa cum laude), Yale Law School (J.D.), University of Oxford (D.Phil.). Clerkships: Judges Paul Oetken (SDNY) and David Tatel (DC Circuit).
