Carol S. Steiker is the Henry J. Friendly Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and serves as the Dean’s Special Advisor for Public Service. She previously co-directed the Harvard Criminal Justice Policy Program (2015-2020) and specializes in criminal justice, with a focus on capital punishment, criminal law, and institutional design. She was the second woman to lead Harvard Law Review.
