Emma Jakku

Dr Emma Jakku is a Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO, applying sociology of science and technology to enhance technology development in Australian agriculture. She previously held a lecturer role at Griffith University's Australian School of Environmental Studies, co-convening the course 'Social Dimensions of Land Management'.

Her research focuses on the social and institutional dimensions of digital transformation and climate adaptation in agriculture, with expertise in participatory methods and qualitative analysis. She contributes to CSIRO's Climate Services for Agriculture program, including the development of tools like My Climate View, funded by Australia's Future Drought Fund. Past work explored gender dynamics in sustainability initiatives and climate change responses in agricultural systems.
