Dr. Emma Huntley is a Senior Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Psychology at Edge Hill University, Department of Sport and Physical Activity. She joined in 2006 after completing her BSc (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science at Edge Hill (awarded via Lancaster University, 2005). She holds a PG Cert in HE Teaching (2010) and a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University (2021) focused on reflective practice in trainee sport scientists. She is one of three departmental staff with BASES Accreditation in Sport Science Support (since 2013).
Her research emphasizes reflective practice efficacy among sport practitioners, influencing the BASES Reflective Practice workshop curriculum. She teaches Professional Practice and Applied Sport Psychology modules at Level 6. Current projects include the PRESST initiative applying sport psychology to enhance medical trainee resilience.
