Dr. Emma Hayward is a Senior Lecturer at Bournemouth University and a practicing General Practitioner in the NHS. Her academic focus lies in Women’s Health and Feminist Bioethics, with additional expertise in lifestyle medicine, medical education, and gender equality. She actively contributes to advancing women's representation in academia as Co-Chair of Bournemouth University’s Women’s Academic Network.

Her research investigates intersections of gender, sexual pleasure, and medicalization, including a PhD on feminist bioethical analyses of hormonal contraception. She emphasizes lifestyle medicine and nature-based well-being.
