Emma Griffith is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bath's Department of Psychology, affiliated with the Addiction and Mental Health Group (AIM) and the Bath Centre for Mindfulness and Compassion. She holds roles as Head of Therapies for Specialised Services, Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Dual Diagnosis, and Culture Change Programme Manager at Avon and Wiltshire Partnership NHS Mental Health Trust (AWP).
- Education: Masters in Research Methods (University of Bristol, 1998), Doctorate in Clinical and Community Psychology (University of Exeter), and postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Oxford University).
- Research focuses on co-occurring severe mental health/substance use issues, compassionate leadership, and personality disorders.
- Lead a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)-funded project (2020–2021) to improve outcomes for individuals with co-existing mental health and substance misuse conditions.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals addressing health and well-being. She supervises 21 academic works and collaborates internationally on mental health interventions.
