Dr. Emma Cunningham is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast's School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences, affiliated with the Centre for Public Health. Her work focuses on delirium, dementia, and surgical outcomes in elderly populations. She leads/co-leads major research projects like the NICOLA cohort studies, investigating aging-related health challenges. Cunningham holds awards including the Atlantic Fellowship for Equity in Brain Health and has contributed to over 47 peer-reviewed publications. Her research integrates clinical practice with public health strategies, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration through digital education initiatives and biomarker studies.
