Emin Civi is a Professor in the Marketing Area at the University of New Brunswick's Faculty of Business Administration. He joined the faculty in 2005, teaching courses such as Marketing Management, International Marketing, Retailing, and International Business in the BBA program, and International Marketing in the MBA program. Prior to UNB, he taught at Celal Bayar University in Turkey and served as a Visiting Scholar at Michigan State University, United Arab Emirates University, and Carnegie Mellon University of Qatar.
Dr. Civi’s research focuses on the competitiveness of multinational corporations, emerging economies, internationalization processes, born global companies, and the impact of accounting regulations. His work has been published in journals including the Thunderbird International Business Review, Journal of Management and Economics, and Marketing Intelligence and Planning.
He has received prestigious national and international teaching awards, including the
- Allan P. Stuart Award for Excellence in Teaching (2011)
- Hormel Teaching Excellence Award (2016)
- 3M National Teaching Fellowship (2019)
