Emilé Baker is an Associate Professor of Practice at the School of Social Work, Simmons University, where she has been affiliated since Fall 2022. She previously served as an adjunct instructor teaching Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis, and Cognitive Behavioral Approaches, while also acting as a Practicum Liaison supporting graduate students. Her clinical expertise spans anxiety/depressive disorders, psychiatric social work, and maternal mental health, with a unique focus on food allergy anxiety and trauma. She maintains a private practice in Wellesley, MA, specializing in cognitive-behavioral and relational therapy for anxiety, life transitions, and food allergy-related stress. Additionally, she facilitates a low-cost virtual therapy group for parents of children with food allergies.

Her research interests include psychotherapy for vulnerable populations such as individuals living with HIV/AIDS, unhoused individuals, and refugees/asylees. She has extensive experience in crisis intervention, advocacy for homeless women and non-binary individuals, and trauma-informed care. Earlier roles included clinical work at Boston Medical Center’s HIV/AIDS Center, Cambridge Hospital’s Psychiatry Department, and On The Rise, Inc., a women’s day shelter.
