Dr. Emily Wetzel is an Artist Affiliate in the Department of Music at Berry College, where she teaches violin, viola, and chamber music. She joined the faculty in 2020 and is based in Ford 215. Her role reflects a part-time faculty appointment with a strong emphasis on performance and music instruction.

Dr. Wetzel specializes in string performance and music education, with a focus on violin and viola instruction. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes mentorship and practical performance experience. She has trained students who have performed in prestigious youth orchestras such as the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra and GMEA All-State Orchestras.
Her performance career spans international venues in Germany, Austria, Italy, and China, and includes solo recitals, opera orchestras, and chamber concerts. She has recorded for film, television, and across genres including classical, pop, gospel, blues, rock, and bluegrass.
Dr. Wetzel is currently the violinist for the Atlanta Trio and has held freelance positions with numerous regional orchestras, including the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, Augusta Symphony, and Rome Symphony. Her past teaching roles include positions at Reinhardt University, Johnson Ferry Conservatory, and the Atlanta Music Project.
