Emily Stokes is a Resident Assistant Professor in the Fine & Performing Arts department at Creighton University's College of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in printmaking and studio arts, blending narrative and symbolic elements to explore themes of tension and humor in contemporary visual contexts.
- Education: MFA in Printmaking from Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts; BA in Studio Art and English from Wellesley College.
Her research focuses on the intersection of visual storytelling and symbolic language in printmaking, with a practice rooted in examining everyday surroundings through artistic expression. Stokes has presented at prominent conferences including the Mid-America College Art Association, Southeastern College Art Conference, and Mid-American Print Council. Her work has been recognized with awards such as the Purchase Award at the McNeese Works on Paper Juried Exhibition and the Four Rivers Print Biennial Second Place Award.

Before joining Creighton, Stokes taught and managed the gallery at Northwestern College (IA). She currently works at the Lied Education Center for the Arts (LECA), where she contributes to academic programs in studio arts.
