Emily Stokes is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash University. Her work focuses on advancing pharmacy education through innovative teaching methods and technology integration. She has contributed to projects such as Preparing pharmacy students to provide sound over-the-counter medication recommendations through the use of virtual patient exercises, which explores simulation-based learning.
Her research interests include clinical pharmacy education, dispensing skill development, and leveraging AI for educational purposes. Stokes has co-authored peer-reviewed articles on accelerated dispensing courses and AI applications in objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs).
She has received notable awards including the Allan Christie ASCILITE Innovation Award (2024) and the QS Reimagine Education Awards Silver Finalist (2024), recognizing her contributions to educational innovation. Stokes collaborates with researchers like Lim, Kreutzer, and Moore on projects addressing pharmacy student training and technological advancements in education.
