Emily Raboteau is a writer and creative writing professor at City College of New York, focusing on race, identity, and social justice. She is the author of The Professor’s Daughter (2005) and Searching for Zion: The Quest for Home in the African Diaspora (2013), the latter of which was a finalist for the Hurston Wright Legacy Award and won a 2014 American Book Award.
