معرفی
Emily Pentzer is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, specializing in the development of novel polymeric materials and assemblies to establish structure-property-application relationships for advanced functional systems.
Her research centers on three core pillars: encapsulation of active liquids and gases, design and synthesis of innovative polymer chemistries, and creation of specialized feedstocks for additive manufacturing. These efforts target multifunctional materials with capabilities beyond current state-of-the-art systems, bridging fundamental chemistry with practical engineering applications.
Dr. Pentzer's contributions have been recognized through prestigious awards:
- Young Investigator Award from the Polymeric Materials Science and Engineering (PMSE) Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS), 2017
- Rising Star Award from the ACS Women’s Chemist Committee, 2019
- Faculty Diversity Excellence Award from Case Western Reserve University, 2019
- Texas A&M Presidential Impact Fellow, 2021
She maintains significant editorial leadership as Editor-in-Chief of RSC Applied Polymers and serves on the advisory boards of both Polymer Chemistry and Chemical Science, while continuing her long-standing role as Associate Editor for Polymer Chemistry since 2015.
