Emily Nash

Dr Emily Nash is a Clinical Associate Lecturer affiliated with the AW Morrow Gastroenterology and Liver Centre and Drug Health Services at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She is a board-certified Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, and Addiction Medicine Specialist with a focus on drug-induced liver injury, alcohol-associated liver disease, and medical toxicology.

Dr Nash’s research explores the intersection of gastroenterology, addiction medicine, and toxicology, with a focus on drug-induced liver injury, the impact of dietary supplements on hepatic health, and substance use management in acute care settings. Her recent work also addresses public health challenges in alcohol-related liver disease and stimulant adulteration.

Her publications highlight trends in herbal/dietary supplement toxicity, steroid-induced liver damage, and emergency medicine complexities, including novel case studies linking chronic substance use with cardiovascular and neurological complications. She collaborates extensively with multidisciplinary teams in clinical toxicology and hepatology.
