Emily Grenner is a Lecturer in the Department of Logopedics, Phoniatrics and Audiology at Lund University. Her research focuses on speech and language pathology, clinical medicine, and comparative language studies with a particular emphasis on child development and educational linguistics. She leads and collaborates on multiple research projects, including the TEAM initiative exploring multilingualism and cognitive processes in children. Recent work includes a scoping review on factors influencing children’s word definition skills and studies on speech development in children with cleft lip and palate.
Her academic contributions include 23 research outputs across abstracts, articles, and conference presentations. Notable projects involve the Swedish Foundation for Humanities and Social Science Research (2024–2029) and a longitudinal study on speech-language outcomes in children with congenital conditions. Grenner actively participates in academic networks, presenting at conferences such as Educational Linguistics 2024 in Kalmar.
Advisory roles include co-supervision in doctoral projects like the “Assessment and treatment of laryngopharyngeal head and neck lymphedema” (2024–present). She also contributes to interdisciplinary teams addressing speech therapy, observational learning in education, and narrative writing interventions.
