Emily Fields is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department at Emory & Henry University. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with specialization in hospital medicine, practicing clinically while teaching nursing students. Her career focuses on serving rural communities in Southwest Virginia.

Teaching & Clinical Work: Teaches Fundamentals in Nursing, Medical/Surgical Nursing II, Psychiatric Nursing, and Pharmacology I. Serves as a clinical preceptor for advanced nursing students. Clinically, she has provided acute psychiatric care in criminal justice settings and acts as a hospitalist in ICU, progressive care, and inpatient rehab units.

Personal: Born and raised in Southwest Virginia, married with five children. Enjoys gardening, reading, and family time.
