Dr Emily Edwards is a Research Fellow in Immunology at Monash University, leading the Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) research group within the Allergy and Clinical Immunology laboratory. She holds a PhD from Cardiff University (2011) and has conducted post-doctoral research at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Garvan Institute, and Monash University. Her work focuses on identifying genetic and immunological defects underlying immunodeficiencies, autoimmunity, and gastrointestinal diseases, particularly in Predominantly Antibody Deficiency (PAD). Edwards is the 2022 recipient of the Grifols ASPIRE Award, supporting her research to advance genetic diagnosis and personalized medicine for PAD.
