Emily Baird is an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance at The College of Wooster (on leave Spring 2025). She holds a B.A. in Theatre and Dance from The College of Wooster (2016) and an M.S. in Kinesiology & Health from Miami University (2020). Her research explores intersections between dance, kinesiology, and music, emphasizing body awareness and accessibility. She founded Drift Dance Collective, focusing on multimedia performance and outreach. Teaching specialties include modern dance technique, choreography, and dance history.

Research interests include functional anatomy in dance, somatic practices, and dance as a tool for social change. Her published work examines body awareness in collegiate dancers and critiques dance-activism scholarship.
