Emily A. Dotson is an Associate Professor of English and the Faculty Director of the Center for Educational Excellence and Innovation at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. She has held leadership roles in writing program and writing center administration across multiple institutions, including co-founding the Elbert C. Ray eStudio in the College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky. With over 30 years of experience, her work focuses on professional development for faculty, curriculum design, and STEM education.

Her advising and grants narrative highlights leadership in faculty development at UK (e.g., Writing in the Disciplines Initiative) and her current role in advancing educational innovation at UVA Wise.
