معرفی
Emilie Glazer is a Lecturer in Social Anthropology at King's College London, based in the Department of European & International Studies within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. Her research focuses on care, justice, political violence, and ecological crisis, particularly in the context of changing ecologies during the climate crisis. She holds a PhD from University College London (Wellcome Trust-funded) and an MA in Anthropology from UCL, alongside a BA in Psychology, Philosophy, and Physiology from the University of Oxford.
Her research interests include political violence, empire, ecological relations, affective politics, and the intersections of infrastructure and care, with a focus on Palestine/Israel. Recent collaborative work, supported by a 2024 grant from Art Jameel and the British Council, explores rain as a site of weaponization and liberation. She has taught at UCL and served as a visiting tutor at the Royal College of Art’s Underground Palestine studio.
Glazer’s interdisciplinary projects combine academic research with community-based design initiatives. Her 2024 publication Affective Currents of the Present Tense reflects her engagement with temporality, scale, and reparation in contested geographies.
