معرفی
Emilie Ellis is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences and the Organismal and Evolutionary Biology Research Programme. Her work focuses on ecology and evolutionary biology, particularly on biodiversity responses to climate change.
- Current projects include "Biodiversiteettimuutoksen mittarit ja ek" (2023–2027) funded by Jane ja Aatos Erkon säätiö
- "Luonnon monimuotoisuuden seurannan tutki" (2022–2024) supported by Ympäristöministeriö
Her research explores thermal homogenization of communities, species distribution shifts, and pollinator decline mechanisms in urban settings. She collaborates extensively across Finland and internationally.
- 2025: Article in Nature Communications on moths' community warming
- 2025: Study in Proceedings of the Royal Society B analyzing nocturnal/diurnal pollinator declines
- 2025: PNAS publication on boreal community thermal homogenization
- 2024: Preprint in Research Square detailing latitudinal drivers of warming
Ellis contributes to interdisciplinary projects examining climate change impacts on boreal ecosystems, with a focus on species interactions and conservation strategies.
