Emilia Ianeva

Emilia Ianeva is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at California State University East Bay. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences along with advanced law degrees (JD, LLM, JSD), enabling interdisciplinary teaching in Law, Sociology, Political Science, Philosophy, Public Administration, and Women’s Studies. Her expertise includes International Law, Human Rights, Conflict Resolution, and Gender Equity. She serves as a certified Mediator and teaches courses on Mediation and Conflict Resolution.

Her research focuses on humanitarian law, globalization, and gender rights, with fieldwork spanning Europe and the US. She has advised governmental/non-governmental organizations on human rights and ethical biotechnology use.
