Claire Simmons is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of International Affairs, Faculty for the Study of Leadership, Security and Warfare, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and a Visiting Fellow at the Human Rights Centre and Essex Armed Conflict and Crisis Hub, University of Essex. She earned her PhD in International Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex in 2021, following an LL.M in International Human Rights Law and Humanitarian Law and a BA in Politics and Human Rights from the same institution.
