Emil Kostadinov is an Assistant Professor (Teaching focused) at the Department of Economics, University of Warwick. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex (2017). His research focuses on labour economics, particularly frictional labour markets and the labour-market foundations of earnings and wealth inequality. Administrative roles include Deputy Director of Undergraduate Studies and Senior Tutor (Term 2/3, 2024-25).
Teaching: Leads modules such as EC139 Mathematical Techniques A, EC134 Topics in Applied Economics 1A, and EC990 Topics in Applied Macroeconomics. Also teaches EC108 Macroeconomics, EC331 Research in Applied Economics, and EC956 Macroeconomics. Provides refresher mathematics seminars and research guidance.
Research: Explores theoretical and empirical dimensions of labour-market dynamics, with emphasis on inequality mechanisms. Active in macroeconomics and policy analysis through teaching and administrative contributions.
