Wanda Schleder is a Professor of Macroeconomics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, holding the Chair in Macroeconomics. She has been actively teaching and researching since at least 2010, with a focus on behavioral macroeconomics, labor market theory, wealth distributions, and policy analysis.
Teaching Roles:
- Bachelor's courses: Macroeconomics I/II, Behavioral Macroeconomics, Wealth Distributions, Scientific Work Methods.
- Master's courses: Inequality & Redistribution, Labour Market Theory, Advanced Macroeconomics.
- PhD programs: Topics in Climate Change, Monetary/Fiscal Policy, Applied Intertemporal Optimization.
Research Interests: Behavioral macroeconomic models, taxation and redistribution mechanisms, labor market dynamics, and the role of emotions in economic decision-making. Active in organizing research seminars, workshops, and the Chair Research Day.
Professional Activities:
- Member of the Central-German Doctoral Program in Economics (CGDE), Leipzig.
- Conducts research on optimal stopping problems in economics and software applications in examinations.
