Emdad Islam is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University's Banking & Finance Impact Labs, joining in July 2019 after completing his PhD at the UNSW Business School. His research focuses on corporate governance, finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation, with notable contributions to managerial compensation contracts and family businesses. He has presented work at major conferences including the European Finance Association and American Economic Association. His research has won multiple Best Paper Awards and been published in top journals like Journal of Financial Economics and Harvard Business Review (Online).
