Emanuele La Bella is a Research Fellow at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A), University of Catania, focusing on wastewater purification using microalgae-based treatments and agricultural reuse of biomasses. He has been affiliated with the University of Catania since 2014, completing his Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies there.
- Current research project (2024-2025): Efficiency of wastewater purification with microalgae-based treatments against inorganic compounds, organic compounds, and new emerging pollutants.
- PhD research (2020-2023): Multipurpose agricultural reuse of biomasses and their extracts from different sources.
His research interests include environmental science, agricultural chemistry, biotechnology, and sustainable practices in agriculture. He has participated in international workshops such as the Agricultural Chemistry Winter School and the Plant Health Young Workshop.
