Emanuel Ornelas is a Professor at the São Paulo School of Economics - FGV, and holds prestigious fellowships including at the Econometric Society, Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and Asia Global Institute (AGI). He has held prior academic appointments as Associate Professor at the London School of Economics (2007-2016), and Assistant Professor roles at Ibmec-RJ and University of Georgia (2002-2007).
