معرفی
Elsa Sánchez García is a Professor and Chair of Computational Bioengineering at TU Dortmund University since January 2023. She holds a PhD in Chemistry (2006, Ruhr University Bochum) and a Diplom in Chemistry (1999, University of Havana). Her career includes roles as Professor of Computational Biochemistry at the University of Duisburg-Essen (2017–2022) and Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research (2010–2017).
Her research focuses on developing physics-based computational tools for Gibbs free energy calculations in explicit solvents, data mining, and hybrid approaches (QM/MM/QM/MM/CG). Applications span solvation chemistry, biocatalysis, drug design, and pharmaceutical studies. She leads interdisciplinary projects bridging computational methods with chemical and biomedical applications.
Elsa’s academic journey includes international collaborations and contributions to computational chemistry methodologies. No awards or experimental data on grants/students are explicitly listed in the provided materials.
